Halloween Fang You Card SEPT12WD

Over at Stamp TV Gina K just had her September Stamp Release and along with that a challenge.

She’s challenging us to use the woodgraining  Technique.  She has posted several videos on how to use this technique and you can find them here.

So with that in mind here is my card for the September Stamp Release Challenge SEPT12WD.

I used my Martha Stewart Score Board and scored every 1/2 inch, then used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and a lighter brown ink from my stash and applied the ink directly to the cardstock.

I cut the Poppystamps Grand Madison Window die and the Grand Flower Box die with my Cuttlebug, then adhered a piece of yellow cardstock to the back of the window.

I used two Martha Stewart stamp sets and  stamped the inside images in black and the pumpkins in orange,

I gave the pumpkins and the flower box some dimension by adding a few popdots.

The outside sentiment if from Pink By Designs’ A Haunting We Will Go stamp set.

The inside sentiment is from Pink By Design’s Ghostly Greetings.

The black cat is a Martha Stewart doubled sided sticker which I coated with Glitter Ritz Glitter.

It’s Harvest time! This is my entry for the Live Chat Challenge – It’s Fall Y’all!! over at Stamp TV.

Posted by Lee this chat challenge is to make a card using Autumn flowers or foliage or harvest images.

I used Bazzill Brown for the base and Momenta Back Country cardstock with my We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile Corner Chomper Deco cut.

The sentiment comes from the Papertrey Ink Gobble Gobble stamp set which I embossed in Clear embossing powder and the ribbon is American Crafts.

The cornucopia comes from Recollections Thanksgiving stamp set, I colored it with my Copics and attached it to the front with some popdots .

I embossed the inside sentiment which comes from the Pink By Design Friends to the end stamp set.

Good luck to everyone and can’t wait to see all the entries!

Thankful For You!

Today I’m entering the challenge for Mix it Up Monday: STV12MON35 Sketch with a Twist over at Stamp TV…

Melissa Cash is the host and her challenge to us : to create a card or project using the sketch below and FALL colors.

Be sure to tag your card/project with: STV12MON35 when you upload to your STV gallery.

The deadline for your challenge is Sunday September 16th at 8:00 pm CT. One week following your challenge one of the Mods will pick a winner and post in the Big News section on Stamp TV.

For the focal image of this card I embossed the pumpkins from Inkadinkado All Hallow’s Eve stamp set with green embossing powder, then used Copics to color them in.

I cut out the pumpkins with my Spellbinders Classic Square and Inverted Square Dies then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. A couple of leaf brads and voila!

I took the pumpkin stamp and made a background piece, embossing them in green and inking with Vintage Photo.

The inside sentiment comes from Pink By Design Bracketful Stamp set. I embossed it and another pumpkin in green.

I then stamped the pumpkin again but this time cut out the front pumpkin and used it to hide the brads from the front of the card.

Can’t wait to see all the great projects!

I will also be linking this over at Sarah Hamer’s Link Up Tuesday, so stop on by and check it out.

JUGS #153 Stamped Line Art Technique Challenge

Today I’m entering this card in the Just Us Girls #153 Technique Challenge.

The Technique is Stamped Line Art, which means stamp a lined image in ink but with no coloring.

You can watch a great Video by Gina K over at Stamp Tv here and make your version of her fabulous card, like I did.

I cut the card base and layers with Recollections cardstock. Then I used the Inkadinkado Floral Inspiration stamp set for the focal image stamped in Versa Fine Deep Lagoon ink.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design’s Friends to the End stamp set.

The inside sentiment is also from the Friends to the End stamp set.

Good luck everyone! There are some great cards entered in this challenge!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #115 ‘Color Play’

I’m entering this card into the CARDZ TV Cricut Cardz Challenge #115

The Theme:  Red, yellow & blue, any Cricut cartridge.

I used the Mini Monograms cartridge to create the base of the card, I cut out 2 shadow layers and adhered them together. Then I cut out the largest die in the Spellbinders Star Circles, along with the little star.

I made the rocket with the Cricut Lite B is for Boy cartridge and added some Glossy Accents to the window. The rocket is flying by the moon which is made with the pop-up moon Fiskars punch.

The sentiment is from Pink By Design’s Small Things which I embossed in black.

I used red cardstock for the inside, cut out with the Mini Monograms cartridge and cut off the very top to fit.

The Alien also comes from the B is for Boy cartridge, I cut him out at 2″ and added some googly eyes in red, yellow and blue for some fun. The sentiment comes from Pink By Design’s Train Station stamp set.

I will be linking up this post to Sarah Hamer’s Link Up Tuesday, head on over and check out what some talented crafters have been up to.

The Tombstone and sentiment are from the Peachy Keen Frankly stamp set. I used the masking technique in order to get 3 layered tombstones.

The paper is from K and Company Halloween 12×12 paper pack and embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder.

A couple of popdots for the tops of the tombstones and the sentiment which I used a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Die to cut out.

For the inside I used the tooth and Happy Halloween sentiment from the Frankly set as well. I used Memento Grape Jelly Ink with clear embossing powder and black embossing powder for the teeth.

I will also be entering this over at CARDZ TV for their Design Team Challenge #14 – “Happy Holidays ~ Pick One!”

A Dino-Mite Birthday!

Yesterday I went to a Surprise Birthday party for my friend’s daughter, she turned the big 10. We all huddled by the door with balloons in our hands, waiting for her to open the door and throw them at her.. SURPRISE!!

She had this huge smile on her face and her eyes wide, in shock walking around in a slight daze.

Good food, friends, family and of course birthday cake = a Dino-Mite birthday party.

She loves dinosaurs so I made this Triceratops card with the Dinosaur Tracks Cricut cartridge.

I made this card the same way as the Happy Piggy Party card, by cutting 2 shadow layers and adhering them together, then cutting all the remaining layers.

I ran some of the layers through my Cuttlebug with the Mesh embossing folder to give him scaly skin. (I forgot to emboss the brown legs.. Oops!)

For the inside of the card I used the first layer and then cut part of the top off so it would fit inside. I used the Dinosaur Party stamp set by Pink Cat Studio for the inside sentiment with some Cottage Ivy Memento Ink.

It was a Dino-Mite birthday filled with lots of love, fun and excitement for a very surprised 10 yr old!
