Birthday Slider Box

Just over a week ago it was the Pink By Design July Stamp Release but I was at work and had to miss it 😦

Darn work, always getting in the way …lol.

Well that night they made a Slider Box, perfect for many things. It’s fun, quick and easy to make and the only limit is your imagination when it comes to decorating the box.

So here is my version of the box…. a Birthday Slider Box.

I used 110# Cardstock that I purchased at Staples for the slider box to make sure the box was nice and sturdy. Then added some Recollections cardstock and DCWV Birthday pattern paper.

I used my Martha Stewart Balloon punch, attached 3 together and stamped my sentiment right on the balloons. The sentiment is from Pink by Design’s April Stamp of the Month – My Favorite Kind.

I used some Divine Twine in Aqua for the balloon string.

Now slide it open and SURPRISE!!

I added some tissue paper and some candy fish  for some sweet birthday wishes!!!

Yummm. I may have had to try a few for quality control purposes only…lol.

The inside sentiment is from Pink by Design’s Say it Sweet.

What a great little box that you can use for any occasion, just create, decorate and fill with whatever your heart desires.

I will be linking this to Link Up Tuesday over at Sarah Hamer’s Blog.

Flutterby Wishes

I’m sending some Flutterby (aka Butterfly) wishes to a girlfriend of mine or as I know her “my sister from another mister”.

I made her this double z fold card… hope it brings a smile to her face.

She hasn’t had a great time with her health lately and I thought she could use a little cheering up… who doesn’t love getting things in the mail.

She loves Butterflies and I just happened to have this DCWV Butterflies gold glitter paper….. how perfect. The card base is Mediterranean Cardstock from the Paper Company, and the Burnt Orange from Recollections.

I added a little strip of orange and Butterfly paper on the inside. The sentiment comes from Pink By Design July SOTM Believe in Yourself.

Finally I decided to close it with a belly band. I cut a  1 1/4″ strip of blue Cardstock and measured around the card. Then cut a circle with my Cuttlebug and my Spellbinders Standard Circle Large.

The Butterfly is from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge and the sentiment is the Pink By Design December SOTM Sibling Love.

Happy Crafting!

So anyone who knows me well…. knows that I Love Halloween.

With it fast approaching I decided to pull out all the Halloween making supplies and let me tell you there are many!!!

So many options, but at some point I have to just start making cards and see what I create in the end. The purple color isn’t part of the card just a background.

So here it is:
