I love my Dog!

I love my Dog! He’s not really my dog, he’s my neighbor’s dog but I love him too. It’s like having a dog but without any of the associated costs….. it’s great!

He comes and goes as he pleases, he knows he’s always welcome here.

Anytime I put something onto the BBQ, he’s right by my side giving me that face that says ” LOVE ME, LOVE ME, LOVE ME”. He’s too cute.

Often when I am outside working on a post he is lying quietly beside me, keeping me safe while I write away.

He is a great dog and I love him.

For this card I used Recollections cardstock and the Crafts Too – Bone and Paw Print Embossing Folder.

I used the Woof Woof Dog stamp set from Recollections that I got at Michaels with black embossing powder for both the dog and the sentiment. I used my Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scalloped Squares to cut out the dog and the Spellbinders Tag Trio for the sentiment. I added some color with my Bic markers and some popdots for dimension.

Then used my Stud/Deco Corner Chomper and added a few Recollections Paw brads and gave the dog a couple Bone brads.

For the inside sentiment I used the Pink by Design February Stamp of the Month Rain or Shine. Is that sentiment not perfect or what?!

I also stamped the fire hydrant on red cardstock and cut it out with my Honey Bee Scissors….couldn’t live without these..they are awesome!!!!

I will be entering this card in the Cardz TV Challenge #12 Anything Goes. You should head on over to Cardz TV and check out Mary and her new Design Team have been up to.

Sweet Birthday Wishes !!!!

Today I wanted to share with you a birthday card I made for one of the ladies that I work with.

Yesterday was her birthday and we always celebrate by giving each other a card and of course ………. any excuse to eat cake.

I started by running a piece of teal cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Seeing Spots folder and attached it to the pink card base. I just love this pink and teal cardstock from Recollections.

The main image is a stamp from Great Impressions Stamps called Dessert Piled High…. yummmmm

I colored the image in with my Copics and a few Bic Markers. For an extra little bling I used Glossy Accents for the cherry on top, as well as some Stickles in Crystal.

I put two thin layers behind the main image and then used some popdots for dimension but only for the top half.

“Sweet birthday wishes” comes from the Say It Sweet stamp set from Pink By Design. I have a sweet tooth and this stamp set has a lot of great sentiments for anyone who does.

I used the Cuttlebug and the Spellbinders Grommet Tag Die set to cut out and then stamp the sentiment on. I then attached it with some Flower Brads from Recollections that I picked up from Michaels.

I think that everyone should take this advice on their birthday too. I know I do…heeeheee

I used two different stamp sets for the inside of the card. I used the Pink by Design Simply Everything stamp set for the “It’s Your Birthday !” and the Inkadinkado Eat Cupcakes set.

I will be posting some more birthday cards soon… May is such a busy birthday month.

A little bird told me…..

Well time to get back at it…. I have been sick with an ear infection that just wouldn’t go away.
Now it is gone and I can enjoy life again… yay

So I started the other day with a birthday card for the LPN on the unit I work.

She is a wonderful, thoughtful lady that I love to work with. Since it was her special day we decided to celebrate with balloons, flowers, cake and of course a  card.

I stamped one of the birdhouses from my JustRite Birdhouses stamp set and colored it using my Copics. I cut out and embossed the image using my Spellbinders Standard Circle Large Dies. Then ran the bottom half of the teal paper through the Cuttlebug with the Floral Fantasy folder.

Both sentiments come from the Simply Everything stamp set from Pink By Design. This is a great versatile stamp set to own, it simply has a bit of everything…lol

The cardstock is Recollections Cool Water …. I love the colors in this paper pack, a mixture of purples and teals. I added a few large and mini flower brads from Recollections that I picked up on sale at Michaels.

Since the card is a 5 1/2″ square I realized that I needed to make an envelope to fit.

I used my Martha Stewart Score Board and Momenta Chloe’s Garden pyramid paper pack that I got at Walmart to make this envelope. I just love the great assortment of beautiful double sided cardstock in Chloe’s Garden…. great for many uses.

Have a great day and stay crafty.

At Rainbow’s end

Thought I’d make a St Patrick’s Day card since it is this Saturday.

I pulled out my Pink By Design binder and found the Luck O’ the Irish stamp set. Perfect!

I stamped and cut out a house from a Christmas stamp set I have then colored it with some Copics.  I used my Cuttlebug with the Traffic Jam folder and the rainbow is an embellishment from Michaels.

The inside sentiment is also from the Luck O’ the Irish stamp set. I really love the sayings on this stamp set.

” ‘Tis better by far at rainbow’s end

to find not gold but a true friend.”

I added a couple of Shamrocks cut from my Fiskars Pop-up punch set and used some popdots to add dimension.

Happy crafting!

Stamp and Punch Storage

Sorry  that I haven’t posted lately, I’ve been working like crazy and now I have a nasty ear infection. Fun fun.

So here as promised is a look at my stamp and punch storage.

Here is my favorite way of storing my stamp sets and Spellbinders Dies. Avery 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 sheet protectors and binders from Staples. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I have about 15 of them, all broken into different categories.

Here is one of my Pink by Design Sentiment Stamp Binders. I belong to the PBD Stamp of the Month Club…(love it) so I have a couple of binders full of sentiments.

I just added a piece of Velcro to each top to keep them closed. It’s so easy to just flip through each one and pick the one that I want.

For my single stamps I found this Crop in Style Binder at one of the local Thrift shops for $2….what a steal !!!
It even had all the original inserts in it.

I just added some extra Hockey card holders into it and slid in my single stamps. These are my Stamping Bella Stamps they fit perfectly into the pockets.

I keep all my wood mounted stamps (or at least the one’s that I haven’t unmounted) in a 12 x 12 Iris Scrapbook Case that I got at Michaels.

I also use them for all of my paper punches, these are some of my Martha Stewart Halloween punches. I love how they fit and I can clearly see the one that I want to use.

Here are my cases of stamps and punches, I have them in several colors and broken into categories.

More of my craft area storage

Here are some more pictures of my craft area and the ways that I try to keep organized.

This is my Cropper Hopper Rolling Organizer which I purchased from Michaels. It was 50% off then I used a 25% coupon on top of that…. can’t beat that.

The first few drawers have some of my tools like my Corner Chomper, popdots, adhesives, double sided tapes. Then a drawer for stamping stuff….blocks, sponges, embossing pillow. The last few are for the rest of my inks.

This is the ink I use most often and it sits on top of my table in a Sizzix Die Holder that I found at a local thrift shop for $2. Can you believe it…. only $2 I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then next to that is a old cassette holder that I picked up for .50 cents at a garage sale, I just cut pieces of a cereal box and made shelves for my Memento Dew Drops.

Here is my new OttLite Desk Lamp I got it at Costco for $20….love it!!

These are my Copics they sit in paint brush holders from the dollar store and my Bic markers in a case I paid $1 for at a craft shop.

This is one of my favorite ways to keep my Spellbinders Dies organized. Avery Sheet Protectors 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 and Binders work great for these and many other items. I use them to store my stamps as well which I will post pictures of another day.

I kept the original folder and removed the tape and the Die from the back.

Next I opened the folder added a new piece of dbl sided tape and a piece of magnet, then slid them into the pockets. Perfect fit they just need a piece of Velcro at the top to close them.

I keep the rest of my stuff for the Cuttlebug in an Iris Card Keeper Box found at Michaels. I took out most of the dividers placed my folders in the front with the small dies and my Fiskars Embossing Plates and A,B,C plates in the back.

In an upcoming post I’ll show you my stamp storage.

Happy crafting.
